Short answer: Bend’s breweries are the easy win. Crux, Bridge 99, Bevel and Midtown Yacht Club all say on their own sites that dogs are welcome, and Crux has a big lawn.
Oregon lets restaurants allow leashed dogs in a designated outdoor area, but nobody may feed them there. That means no dog menus on Oregon patios, whatever an old listing says.
Bend might be the most dog-friendly beer town in the West. Lawns, fire pits and a water bowl on half the patios.
We rewrote this guide in October 2026. DRAKE, Sunriver’s Galveston pub and Spider City have closed or moved, and every card now says where its dog policy comes from.
Downtown and Mirror Pond
J-DUB Restaurant & Bar
Breakfast tacos it calls a classic, and biscuits and gravy it calls Bend’s best.
Its site welcomes dogs on the back patio. It also still advertises a pup menu, which Oregon rules don’t allow on patios, so don’t count on it.
Deschutes Brewery Bend Public House
Where Black Butte Porter was first brewed. Order at the bar or by QR code on the patio.
BringFido says dogs are welcome at outdoor tables. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
McMenamins Old St. Francis School
McMenamins’ downtown hotel and pubs, with side patios for dogs.
Its site says pets are allowed “on the side patios”, and in hotel rooms for $30 per pet per day.
Bend Brewing Co
A grassy riverside beer garden. Elk Lake IPA or the Ching Ching sour.
Its About page describes the beer garden as “where friends, families & all the dogs gather in the summertime”.
Pizza Mondo
A slice on the go downtown. Outdoor seating is limited.
BringFido says dogs are welcome at a few outdoor tables. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
Westside and the Old Mill
10 Barrel Brewing
Steak and gorgonzola nachos or a pizza, and a patio with water bowls.
Visit Central Oregon says both Bend pubs welcome well-behaved dogs. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
Crux Fermentation Project
Twenty-plus house beers, including its non-alcoholic line, and a lawn made for sunset.
Its FAQ says: “We love dogs at Crux, and we welcome them here!” Leashes on, and no dogs inside.
Anthony's at the Old Mill District
River and mountain views with clam chowder or Dungeness crab cakes.
BringFido lists dog-friendly outdoor tables. Its own site doesn’t state a policy, so call ahead for patio seating.
McKay Cottage Restaurant
Breakfast and lunch, 7am to 2pm, first come first served. Biscuits and gravy, or pumpkin pancakes in season.
The Bend Bulletin reported servers bring water bowls, and BringFido lists pet-friendly backyard tables. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
Currents at the Riverhouse
A heated riverside patio for eggs Benedict with house-cured bacon.
BringFido says dogs can join you on the patio for any meal, and the lodge hosts a costume party for dogs on 31 October.
Eastside and north Bend
Worthy Brewing
Wood-fired pizza and hop-forward beer in a shaded beer garden.
Visit Central Oregon says servers bring a water bowl, and BringFido says dogs are welcome in the beer garden. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
Bridge 99 Brewery
A neighborhood taproom with a covered patio heated in winter.
Its site says: “Well behaved kids and dogs are welcome.”
Cascade Lakes Brewing
Its Century Drive pub closed in 2024. The Reed Market pub has a rooftop bar.
Its pubs page describes “a dog and kid friendly lawn”.
Midtown Yacht Club
A beer bar and food cart lot, open daily.
Its site says: “MTYC is well-mannered dog friendly!”
Bevel Craft Brewing
Taproom, food carts and a patio.
Its site says: “Family Friendly + Leashed Dogs Welcome on our Patio.”
Baldy's Barbeque Eastside
Baby back ribs, or The Extravaganza if there are three or four of you. Closed Mondays.
BringFido says dogs can sit at the large patio tables. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
Worth the drive: Redmond and Sisters
The Doghouse Brewyard
An off-leash dog social club with beer and food trucks. It is in Redmond, about 20 minutes north, not Bend.
Built for dogs: membership or a day pass, and its site says “Vaccination records required to enter.”
The Barn in Sisters
A taphouse with food carts, open 11am to 9pm. The Boone Dog wood-fired pizza fits the theme.
BringFido says pups are welcome. Its own site doesn’t state a policy.
The rule for dogs on Oregon patios

Oregon’s food code lets a restaurant allow pet dogs in a designated outdoor seating area if it has written procedures. Dogs must be leashed and under control, kept off chairs and tables, and never walked through indoor areas.
Staff may not touch them, and nobody may feed them on the patio. The Oregon Health Authority sets it out in its fact sheet.
What changed in this update
- DRAKE: closed; Olive & May opened at 801 NW Wall St in 2026.
- Sunriver Brewing, Galveston pub: closed in November 2025.
- Spider City Brewing: closed while it moves; no new location announced yet.
- The Lemon Tree: removed: no dog policy we could cite.
- The Doghouse Brewyard: moved to the Redmond section, where it actually is.
New this time: Bevel Craft Brewing, Currents at the Riverhouse and Bend Brewing Co.
Before you go
High desert evenings turn cold fast, even in summer. Pick heated patios after dark, bring a blanket for the dog, and carry water on hot afternoons.
Heading over the Cascades by car? The road trip planner maps dog breaks along the way.
Every listing was checked on 13 October 2026 against the restaurant’s own website, the local health department or the city’s tourism office, and each card says which. Patios and policies change with the seasons, so call ahead before you go. Here is how I make my guides.
