Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Prescott, AZ: Whiskey Row Patios and Courtyard Dinners

Short answer: Whiskey River Tavern on Whiskey Row, The Barley Hound, Taj Mahal and the Hassayampa Inn’s courtyard all say on their own sites that dogs are welcome outside. Whiskey River even has a pup menu.

Arizona leaves patio dogs to county health departments and to each restaurant, so the patio is always the restaurant’s call.

Prescott is built for an evening stroll: the courthouse square, Whiskey Row, then a patio with the pines going dark behind it.

We rewrote this guide in October 2026. Two places in Prescott Valley are gone, The Palace has a new website, and Taj Mahal has moved. Every card says where its dog policy comes from.

The rule for dogs on Arizona patios

Arizona has no state law that lets dogs onto restaurant patios. The state food rules follow the FDA Food Code, which keeps animals other than service animals out of food businesses, and leaves outdoor exceptions to county health departments.

Prescott is in Yavapai County, which doesn’t publish a patio-dog process online, so each restaurant decides. Keep your dog leashed and off the furniture. Arizona’s health department explains the food code here.

What changed in this update

  • COLT BBQ, Prescott Valley: closed.
  • Rafter Eleven, Prescott Valley: removed: listed as closed and its website is gone.
  • The Palace: new website address.
  • Taj Mahal: now at 124 N Montezuma St.

New this time: FARM Provisions, Limoncello Pizzeria Napoletana and The Fat Frog.

Before you go

Prescott sits at over 5,000 feet, so nights get cool even after hot days. Pick a heated patio in the shoulder seasons and bring water for the walk along Whiskey Row.

Every listing was checked on 13 October 2026 against the restaurant’s own website, the local health department or the city’s tourism office, and each card says which. Patios and policies change with the seasons, so call ahead before you go. Here is how I make my guides.
